Technology is moving at GVMS!!

After meeting with Tim Goree and Melissa Farrar, GVMS is on the right track for ensuring that we are a 2:1 school!  We have three more classes to outfit with Chrome Books and every classroom has updated technology!  We have at least 15 Apple TVs on campus and our goal is to have TVs in each room next year!  Our retreat on August 11 will focus completely on technology and we plan to work with Ed Tech to ensure we have a great training!

K.I. Jones Rocks SBAC Scheduling!

After checking with staff and pouring over a calendar of activities already planned for April and May....SUCCESS!  An SBAC assessment schedule is completed, Shelley has checked it, and the teachers involved have received it.  Final feedback is due from teachers this week, but it looks like only minor adjustments, if any.   

Thank you to TSS for deployment of new devices in time for teachers to begin practice and training tests.

Technology and SAMR

The PSA staff reviewed the SAMR model earlier this year, as we began our discussion of Digital Citizenship with our Educational Technology Technician, Josh Harris.  At that time, we discussed where we felt we were as a school.   We watched the "SAMR in 120 Seconds" video clip and talked about ways to increase the implementation of technology in instruction.  Now that we have gone 1:1 with student devices school-wide, there is a definite increase in the implementation of technology in instruction on campus.
