Steve attended the Illuminate Site Admininstrator Training on Wednesday, April 6th from 8:00-11:00 and Amy attended the Illuminate Site Administrator Training on Thursday, April 7th from 8:00-11:00.
Every month FSUSD administrators meet to discuss our progress toward our district's goals in several areas. Each task force group is responsible for coming up with action items to move their goal area forward toward achieving the goals outlined in our LCAP or Local Control Area Plan. As we complete tasks, evidence will be posted here using the task force group and school labels so that you can easily follow along with our progress.

We've Been Illuminated
My soon-to-be Assistant Principal, Katie Hawkins, joined me at the Illuminate Training April 7, 2016. We can't wait to get the staff trained! This will especially be useful as we move forward in creating our school-wide formative assessment plan.
We're also ready for this year's CAASPP. We will be testing school-wide, so all teachers have signed the affidavit and TOMS accounts have been created. Our site coordinator, Alison Ankerstar, provided CAASPP Administration Training at our April staff meeting, and we are ready to go!

CAASPP Training and Schedule
SPP training given by Shelley. RHS has set the schedule for testing and we will be doing a testing training with staff on March 8th's Staff Meeting.
CAASPP and Biology CST at Fairfield HIgh
Now that we are in year three of CAASPP things are becoming a little easier to plan. This year the duty of preparing our CAASPP schedule was given to Assistant Principal, Dr. Will Cushman. He prepared the calendar/schedule in January and shared with the department chair in February. It was then shared with the staff at the March staff meeting and every member has it in their shared Google folder. Here is a snapshot of our testing calendar that includes the Biology CST and CAASPP.

K.I. Jones Rocks SBAC Scheduling!
After checking with staff and pouring over a calendar of activities already planned for April and May....SUCCESS! An SBAC assessment schedule is completed, Shelley has checked it, and the teachers involved have received it. Final feedback is due from teachers this week, but it looks like only minor adjustments, if any.
Thank you to TSS for deployment of new devices in time for teachers to begin practice and training tests.

Preparing for CAASPP at Nelda Mundy
We have completed our initial CAASPP training for our teachers at yesterday's staff meeting and are getting affidavits signed and returned to Shelley so that we can get our TOMS accounts up and running. We hope to have our students engaging in the training and practice tests by mid-week next week. Our grade-level's have chosen their testing windows and we are in the process of formalizing our school-wide testing schedule!

Response to Intervention-Assessments
At Cleo Gordon, we are using assessment to drive instruction. We have had data meetings to discuss observations and goals for our students. This year we have piloted the MAP assessment and look forward to using that data to help us set goals for SBAC!

CAASPP Training Underway!
The amazing Williams Duo (aka Connie and Ken) did a great job handling all of the details for initial training for CAASPP administration at the Grange Staff Meeting on February 2, 2016. Affidavits were signed and we are on our way to the 2016 testing season. Additional training opportunities for teacher TAs (testing administrators) offered by the Assessment Operations department will be advertised in our weekly newsletters.
